In this role, she leads resource mobilization initiatives to support the network’s conservation and gender equity programs, helping drive impactful and sustainable change. Her professional interests lie in fisheries, with a strong foundation in fish health, fish ecology, and aquatic disease surveillance.
As a member of the She brings valuable expertise to WiN-TZ’s efforts in promoting sustainable fisheries management and ecosystem conservation. Sophia has participated in several international training programs to sharpen her skills in areas such as fish taxonomy, environmental DNA (eDNA), FishBase, and population genetics for conservation biology. Her commitment to advancing fisheries science and empowering women in conservation makes her a key contributor to WiN-TZ’s mission
