About Us
Women in Nature Tanzania (WiN-TZ) is a chapter of the global Women in Nature Network (WiNN), which was founded in 2022 and legally registered in November 2024 under NGO Act No. 24 of 2002 of the United Republic of Tanzania with 25 members. WIN-TZ believes that women and youth are key drivers of environmental sustainability and play a vital role in shaping the future of conservation through leadership, research, and community engagement.
We believe every woman has the power to embrace her true self, shape her own future, and make a lasting impact on the world.
Our mission
WiN-TZ is dedicated to connecting, empower, and mobilizing women and youths in conservation to champion the sustainable management and preservation of Tanzania’s diverse ecosystems through research, collaboration, education, impactful campaigns, and advocacy

WiN-TZ envisions a future where women and youths play a pivotal role in conserving natural resources, influencing policies, and driving innovative solutions for sustainability, biodiversity conservation, and climate resilience.
