On the occasion of World Environment Day 2025, Women in Nature Tanzania (WiN-Tz) proudly participated in a symposium held at the University of Dar es Salaam under the global theme “Ending Plastic Pollution.”

The event brought together stakeholders from government, academia, civil society, and the private sector to discuss collaborative strategies for addressing plastic pollution in Tanzania. WiN-Tz contributed to the dialogue by highlighting the vital role of women in environmental advocacy, community awareness, and sustainable waste management practices.
