Dr. Anna Mahulu
Dr. Anna Mahulu is the Co-founder and Executive Director of Women in Nature Network Tanzania (WiN-Tanzania), a pioneering initiative dedicated to empowering women in environmental science, conservation, and sustainable natural resource management.
She is a passionate conservationist, ecologist, and biogeographer dedicated to advancing gender-inclusive approaches to biodiversity conservation in Africa.
As Executive Director of WiN-Tanzania, she leads transformative efforts to advance gender equity in conservation, foster environmental stewardship, and support the next generation of women leaders in science. Dr. Mahulu is known for her visionary leadership and collaborative approach, working at the intersection of science, policy, and community engagement.She holds a PhD in Ecology and Biogeography from the Justus Liebig University Giessen (JLU), Germany and has authored numerous scientific publications and conservation strategies. Her work continues to influence conservation practice and inspire women leaders across Tanzania and the wider region
