Kulwa Mtaki
She brings extensive expertise in fisheries, aquaculture, climate change, data management and analysis, GIS, and remote sensing. At Women in Nature Network Tanzania (WiN-TZ), Dr. Mtaki serves as the Fundraising and Project Management Officer, where she plays a pivotal role in mobilizing resources, developing grant proposals, and overseeing the implementation of impactful conservation initiatives. Her work strengthens the organization’s capacity to support women-led projects and enhance sustainable marine resource management across Tanzania.
In addition to her role at WiN-TZ, Dr. Mtaki is a Marine Conservation Warden at the Marine Parks and Reserves Unit of Tanzania, where she contributes to national conservation strategies and ecological monitoring. Her interdisciplinary skill set and commitment to environmental stewardship make her a key asset in the advancement of marine conservation and community-based sustainability efforts.
