Dr. Rehema Ulimboka
Dr. Rehema Ulimboka is the co-founder and Deputy Director of Women in Nature Network-Tanzania (WiN-TZ), where she brings a wealth of experience in biodiversity conservation, environmental education, and gender advocacy.
She holds a PhD in Biology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU)), where her research focused on public awareness, gender perspectives, and conservation education in and around Tanzania’s protected areas. Her work contributes to understanding how knowledge and attitudes shape conservation outcomes, particularly in rural communities. Dr. Ulimboka has led and collaborated on research projects on mangrove ecosystems, small mammal diversity, coastal management, and macroinvertebrate monitoring. In addition to her academic and scientific contributions, she is a skilled trainer and workshop facilitator, passionate about environmental outreach and empowering women and youth through education. . She is also a lecturer in the Department of Biology at the University of Dodoma, where she specializes in ecology, biodiversity conservation, climate change, and conservation education.
